Aquinas School celebrated the feast of St. Dominic with a focus on the role of the saint for the youth of today.
A triduum was held on August 5,6 and 7 with para-liturgy that centered on the life of St. Dominic and his contribution in the church.
Prayers, dances and songs spearheaded by the Knights of St. Thomas Aquinas, Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Dominican Network Core Group also gave color to the event.
On August 8, the feast day itself, a Eucharistic Mass was held to celebrate the feast of the founder of the Dominicans. Here, Fr. Matthew Shing Man Tun OP, in his homily explained to the Aquinians the colorful life of St, Dominic and his relevance to the life of the Dominicans especially the youth today.
In the afternoon, around 50 children benefited from the feeding program sponsored by the Outreach Department of the school. The KSTA, Confraternity of the Holy Rosary and the DOMNET spearheaded the concluding program with a showcase of different talents to and of the children.
